Physiotherapists

  • Joseph Lee, Principal Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), APAM

    Works at Springwood and Lithgow.

Joseph is the Principal of Lithgow and Springwood Physiotherapy. His special interests are in treating complex musculoskeletal presentations and work related injuries requiring multidisciplinary care. He is known for his logical, realistic and caring approach.

Joseph believes physiotherapy is more than just exercises - it should be an individual journey where the Patient is empowered to feel that they are in control of their rehabilitation. Joseph incorporates hands on treatment techniques, dry needling, electrotherapy (if required), manual therapy and exercise rehabiliation tailored to the Patient’s goals.

Joseph decided to be a Physiotherapist after going on a Medical Missions Trip to Thailand and Burma when he was in Year 10. He assisted Doctors, Nurses and Pharmacists in providing care to those in Refugee camps and soon realised that he liked to help people.

Outside of the Clinic, Joseph likes to explore different parks and Kid’s cafes with his two boys - Luca and Leo. He is also madly passionate about coffee and you may see him around the Streets of Melbourne every now and then. Are you aware that there is a Patented Water Formulation for brewing coffee?

  • Christine Karehana, Associated Physiotherapist

    Christine Karehana, Associate Physiotherapist

    Works at Springwood.

Christine brings a fun, down-to-earth approach to physiotherapy, with experience working across busy clinics in both Sydney and Canberra. She has a passion for helping people overcome musculoskeletal injuries and is GLA:D trained, supporting patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis through movement, strength, and confidence-building.

She has a special interest in hydrotherapy and community-based physiotherapy, and loves helping people stay active, independent, and doing the things they enjoy most.

Christine says working in Springwood feels a little like being back home in New Zealand — with the mountains, community vibe, and friendly faces reminding her of where she grew up.

When she’s not in the clinic, you might be surprised to learn she once worked as a DJ through university… so she definitely knows how to bring good energy, great rhythm, and maybe even a few dance moves to the workplace!
